Time

Days are divided into twenty-four hours as the ambient light that illuminates Sigil oscillates between darkness and light. The brightest time of the day is called Peak, comprised of the three hours before the brightest moment and the three hours after the brightest moment. In this way, “Peak” and “Antipeak” are used in the same manner as “Day” and “Night”, these terms can also be used as “Noon” and “Midnight,” depending on the context. Hours are numbered 1 through 12 and labeled BP and AP. This concept understood clearest on the city’s one-handed clocks, which all have twenty-four increments and are shaded from black at the bottom (antipeak) to white at the top (peak).
